Research

The DEMO Study is expected to provide broadly applicable information on ecological and silvicultural responses to green-tree retention in mature Douglas-fir forests of western Oregon and Washington. Here we briefly outline the underlying questions of DEMO; provide links to the primary areas of investigation; summarize our data management and archiving policy; and provide contact information for principal investigators, forest managers, and members of the scientific oversight group.

An overview paper provides a brief discussion of the objectives and designs of component studies and contains brief summaries of initial post-treatment findings.
