The Forest Systems and Bioenergy Interest group focuses on finding alternative uses for low-quality, small-diameter wood, looking at integrating small-scale, mobile, wood biomass chemical conversion to liquid fuel systems with emerging technologies in the renewable-energy sector (hydrogen fuel cells).
