Career Resources
The School's Career Corner provides resources for students seeking career tools, including reference guides for the field, current job announcements, web links sent to the School, volunteer and internship announcements, and industry and government materials designed for student use. As in any professional field, practical experience is as important as academics in preparing for a career. Students are encouraged to participate in ongoing research projects, volunteer, study abroad, and apply for summer jobs in the field to enhance their credentials.Students are encouraged to actively research and explore career opportunities well in advance of graduation. Volunteer, research, internship, and seasonal work experiences are all valuable and each student should find a way to incorporate these experiences into their program (contact the Office of Student and Academic Services, for more information if you wish to earn credit during these experiences). Below is a selected list of resources for use in the job and internship search. This list is not an endorsement of organizations represented, so students are encouraged to research opportunities thoroughly before applying or accepting employment. Submit other useful links or report dead links, at cfradv@u.washington.edu.

The School helps coordinate an Environmental Opportunities Fair with other UW environmental programs in autumn and holds an annual January Career Fair in which representatives from a broad range of potential employers are represented. Natural resources and environmental employers often recruit students on campus as positions are available and coordinate such visits with the advisors.
