PEACE CORPS MASTER’S INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM IN INTERNATIONAL FORESTRY

School of Forest Resources Admission Requirements

Students interested in the PCMI Forestry program in the School of Forest Resources (SFR) at the University of Washington must apply simultaneously to the SFR graduate program and the Peace Corps.  Highly qualified students in all areas of study are encouraged to apply to the PCMI Forestry program.  The Admissions Committee considers undergraduate performance, GRE scores, letters of recommendation, a graduate essay, and previous experience in evaluating applicants to the PCMI program.  Applications for the PCMI program are accepted for summer and autumn quarters only.  The deadline for applications is January 15th.

The Peace Corps evaluates applicants and nominates them for NGO assignments after they have been admitted to the School of Forest Resources.  The evaluation process is based on an initial interview, medical and dental exams and a legal background check.
