Future of Reintroduction
The future of wolf reintroduction looks promising. Americans have
largely dispelled the "big bad wolf" myth and now find
wolves a majestical beast to be admired. With continued efforts
to subsidize ranchers losses and educating the public, the
wolf stands a good chance to survive in the lower 48 states.
- In Arizona, wolves have been reintroduced. This effort was not
condoned by the people and has largely failed. There are plans
to continue the work and possibly release new wolves when public
opinion is favorable.
- In the Rocky Mountains there is a surviving pack, but no efforts
as of yet to supplement the numbers.

have brought in tourist dollars and will continue to do so, as
