How do respond to CFR Network login prompts?

This question can be more complicated than it first seems because there are many resources you may be logging into and many of them have different login dialogs. When you first sit down at your Windows Computer you are prompted to log into Windows. When you open your email program you may be prompted to log into an email system. Following is a collection of login dialogs and instructions on responding to them.

Windows Login

The Windows Login dialogue that appears when you first sit down to a Windows computer will be in one of two modes, Two Line mode or Three Line mode. You can log in using either mode, and you can switch between modes by pressing the "Options" button.

Three Line Mode

There are three ways to respond to the Three Line mode of the Windows Login dialog, and they are depicted here. In our environment there is no significant difference between them so you can use whichever method you like at any time.

The Classic login method is depicted in Figure 1.1. If you are unsure what login method to use, use this one.

Figure 1.2 and Figure 1.3 depict optional login methods that are beneficial in some instances which are beyond the scope of this document and are included because CFRIT staff may instructed you to use them at times.
