Information for Mac Users

Mac's at CFR

Because a very small percentage of computer users here at CFR choose to use Mac's, CFRIT is not able to expend resources to support them at the same level as Windows PC's. However we do make every reasonable effort to support users who choose to use Mac's. Mac users may be asked to provide funding to offset the expense of resolving Mac specific problems.

Minimum Requirements

CFRIT supports Mac's meeting the following criteria:

• It is owned by the College of Forest Resources (limited support is extended to privately owned computers of Faculty, Staff, Students and College Affiliated Organizations and Individuals on a best effort and time available basis)
• It's Operating System is Mac OS 10.2, 10.3 or 10.4
• Dave 5 or 6 is installed if access to CFRIT network resources is desired
