The business meeting will be on the 22nd , and on the 23rd, Martin Ritchie from the Pacific Southwest Research Station and Jeff Hamann with Forest Informatics, Corvallis OR will put on a CONIFERS Workshop. Space is limited so please register early. You will need to bring a laptop and prior to the meeting Martin Ritchie will send you software downloads so be sure to include your email address.

This workshop will introduce users to the execution and functional behavior of the CONIFERS young stand simulator. Both the graphical user interface and the DLL will be presented. There will be a brief introduction to the original SWO (variant) but the main focus will be the SMC variant.

Installation, file I/O, management options (thinning, shrub control and genetic gain) will be covered. ORGANON - specific linkage issues will be covered as well. Attendees should bring a laptop computer and have administrative access to allow installation of the simulator.

The meeting and workshop will begin at 8:30 am and conclude by 4:00 pm.
