SFR Computing Policy Addittions
SFR to Require Password Changes Effective Nov. 24There have been a number of recent security incidents at SFR, including the highjacking of one of our computers for use in a password hacking scheme. In response to increasing security threats we must ask that everyone using the SFR computing environment update their passwords on a regular basis.
SFR Computing Policy is amended to require that passwords be changed every 6 months. No one will be denied access to the computing environment as a result of this change in policy, but if you haven’t changed your password during the past 6 months, you will have to change your password to gain access to the system.
Instructions for changing your password can be found on the Computer Resources main page.
Thank you for your cooperation.
