Deceember 9, 2008

The College has been awarded $43,071 in equipment funds for the second year of the 2007 - 2009 biennium.

Please evaluate your equipment needs and prepare a request (using this form). Completed faculty requests should be forwarded to Chair Bradley by January 15, 2009, for prioritization and submission to the Dean's Office. Completed staff requests should be forwarded to immediate supervisors for approval and a statement in support of the request prior to forwarding to the Dean.

Allocation decisions will be based primarily on the assumption that state funds are allocated to support tenure-track faculty in teaching and research. However, non-tenure faculty and staff may submit requests. All requests must support the College's mission, vision, and strategic themes. Priority will be assigned to requests that have the potential to contribute significantly to the development of our curricula or new research opportunities. Equipment requests that contribute matching funds for a significant grant that generates full overhead will be seriously considered.

Recommendations will be considered by the College Resources Committee and final decisions announced prior to February 6, 2009. I would like to receive the Faculty Chair and staff supervisor ranked evaluations and supporting statements by January 23, 2009. Thank you.
